Index Tokens

Index tokens (ITs) represent an ownership share of the net asset value (NAV) of the underlying asset basket. Holding ITs gives users exposure to the entire portfolio of assets backing that individual index.

Index tokens are currently issued as SPL tokens on the Solana blockchain, and other chains and L2s will be supported in the future.

Users can purchase ITs for specific indices on CEXs or DEXs, and larger liquidity providers can mint and redeem ITs in size directly through OpenDelta.

Price Calculation

ITp=NAVSIT_p = \frac{NAV}{S}ITp​=SNAV​

Where NAV is the total net asset value of the underlying constituents and S is the total circulating supply of the the index token.
